| Maggie's leg |
Today I got to Blue Pearl at 8:30 and didn't leave till 6:40! In the morning, I held a dog named Paco while he had an abdominal ultrasound and then took him to get x-rays. After that Victoria, a vet tech, taught me how to take blood and place a catheter; tomorrow she's going to let me do it my self! We did two surgeries today, one was on a golden named Angel who was having a splenectomy. The splenectomy took hours and the doctor had to remove a huge fatty mass that was on his incision line. The other surgery was Maggie, she had gotten into a dog fight and her front right leg was broken completely in half (pictured above). The bones are now held together with screws!
