Today was my first day at Southern Eye Clinic for Animals with Dr. Wolf! I was there from 8:50 till 5:20, and busy the whole time. I went with him into the rooms while he did re-checks on his patients. It got to the point where the vet techs didn't go into the rooms with us and let me do everything! I put drops in the dog's eyes, got medications, and handed equipment to Dr. Wolf. He had one surgery today, where he removed a dog's eye (pictured above) because it popped out of its socket! I wish he let me scrub in an help him, but the OR was small and the surgery was short. Tomorrow they will be in Lakeland, and only one vet tech is going with him; so she said I can be his "tech" in the room and she'll stay out side. Nicole, the receptionist, told me that I get my own cubby and drawer in the bathroom because I'll be there for a month. All in all, today was a great first day!
