I was at Blue Pearl from 8:45 till 6:00, and Dr. Salas didn't have any surgeries again today! The dog in the picture above, Baby Girl, was brought in because the owners thought she had a broken hip. It turned out the her hip was fine, but she had an abnormality with her humorous. We sedated her and the radiologist took a sample of it. After that, Dr. Salas had a patient who had torn both of his knees. The first one was fixed at the reg vet with a TPLO, Dr. Salas talked to them about fixing the other one with a TTA or a Lateral Suture. They decided to think about it. At around 4:00 a yorkie came in with its' lower mandible broken because it's owner fell on it. The jaw was so small and difficult to fix, so the owners decided to just put it down. After that, I watched two spinal surgeries performed by Dr. Kimura! When he was done, Dr. Salas told me that she isn't working tomorrow; so I shouldn't come. I said goodbye to everyone and told them I would see them next month!
